Green follows Spring's blossoms.
The sun warms our slice of the globe
as days stretch longer,
a cat emerging from sleep.
The birds' 4 a.m. chorus welcomes each sunrise.
Rising heat invites relief
in oceans and lakes,
under arboreal umbrellas,
on mountaintops with grand vistas.
Cool breezes rise on high flute runs.
Fireflies light the way on lazy evening walks.
